Affiliated Doula

Services Provided:
Labor Support, Postpartum & Infant Care

Whitney first became passionate about labor and birth during her EMT Basic training course in 2010. – “I remember sitting in class watching a video of a woman giving birth and thinking to myself, I want to be a part of that!”

Whitney first heard about doulas through a friend and fellow doula when she was pregnant. The friend told her so many great things about it and the support they provided for her, Whitney instantly felt a pull towards becoming that support for other women and families. She took her postpartum training in March of 2017 and her labor training in August 2017. Since her training, she has been putting her knowledge to good use and supporting women and families’ transition from belly to baby! -”It’s an AMAZING job and I feel privileged to be part of their journey!”

After her first child, she experienced  postpartum depression. Now, being the support for other women, Whitney sees how important her role is in helping these families. Whitney feels like if she had the support she now offers, she could have had a better experience transitioning into motherhood. Whitney’s goal is to have the support she offers help other women avoid the struggles she faced after the birth of her son.

A Shawano resident, Whitney has been married for almost nine years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two children. Whether it be playing at the park or just snuggling on the couch with some popcorn, their two dogs and two cats, watching a movie!

Whitney was recently accepted into the radiography program at NWTC and looks forward to starting in the fall of 2018.
